Hello friends :-)

Here I am once more to bring you today's news ..

I had an interesting chat  with Titchers today and he told me that he was going to be wearing something interesting tomorrow !!!

I won't spoil things by going into details here but I dare say that there will be a report and the odd (very) photograph from Tree Sparrow tomorrow ;-)

So .. Back to today's news ..

All from Old Moor today ..

A sparrowhawk was reported from near to the farmhouse by 'Wing Commander' Craig but he didn't know what sex it was .. Since he shaved off his 'draught excluder' he hasn't been the same !

He no longer resembles a Wing Commander any more come to think of it !!

Plenty to see in the Bird Garden as normal ... seen here were .. a willow tit, great tits, blue tits, long-tailed tits, bullfinches, greenfinches, goldfinches, chaffinches, blackbirds and pheasants ...

There were 9 grey partridges seen on the Wader Scrape .. There were always 10 before so I'm hoping that maybe 1 was just hiding ...  I would hate to think that the peregrine invited the partridge to 'join it on the pylon' ...

The little egret was seen flying over from Bolton Ings and heading towards the reedbed area .. Looking for one of the bitterns maybe !!

The rest are of the 'no fixed abode' category ...

Reported were 2 pintails, shovelers, tufted ducks, pochards, gadwalls, wigeons, teals, goldeneyes, a snipe, 6 goosanders, a green woodpecker, a kingfisher, reed buntings and a mistle thrush ...

A good time to dust off the 'Where The Heck Was It' game again :-)

So there you go ... All done for today ..

More tomorrow !!

Have a good evening friends ...

Bert xxx
