Robber Targets New Years Eve partygoer E-mail

kilnhurst-thief01Police investigating a robbery that happened at 1am on New Year’s Day outside the Star pub in Rawmarsh, have released an e-fit of the alleged offender.

The victim, a 19-year-old woman from Kilnhurst, was celebrating the New Year at the Star pub when she went outside to make a phone call. As she finished the call, a man approached her and demanded she hand her mobile to him.

The offender did not physically harm the woman, but was described as intimidating and aggressive, using threatening language. Fearing the man may assault her, the woman handed the phone over, at which point the offender ran away.

The stolen phone is a black iPhone 4 with a purple case. The offender is described as a white man in his early–mid-20s. He has brown hair, shaved at the sides and spiky on top. He has

a medium build and was wearing a blue and white checked shirt.

Officers have released an e-fit and would like to speak to anyone who may know who this person is, saw what happened that night, or has any information about this incident.
