Police can now name
the man who died in last week’s taxi incident on the A19 St George’s Bridge as 27-year-old Robert Ross Dowling from the Carcroft area of Doncaster.
Robert, known locally as Tintin, died from serious head injuries after the incident at 2.10am last Wednesday, 18 January.
Five people, three men and two women, have been arrested in connection with this incident and are currently on police bail. Robert and the five people arrested were all occupants in a black Mercedes Vito taxi that was travelling out of the town centre.
Anyone who witnessed the incident should contact South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 62 of Wednesday, 18 January.
