His personality has helped popularise the world of antiques, encouraging more people to learn more about their own treasures or to start their own collection. A first for Rotherham Theatres, Eric will be presenting a wickedly funny afternoon of 'Antique Antics' at the Civic Theatre.

Meet Eric before the show and bring along your own special treasures for a free valuation, then audiences will enjoy a 2 hour visual presentation when the much loved antiques expert shares witty anecdotes from a lifetime's experience.

"The concept of bringing an Antiques Roadshow style show is a brilliant one and works amazingly well on stage. It's the kind of thing that keeps the audience on the edge of their seats, and, with a good few humorous anecdotes, chuckling in the aisles too.

"'Antiques Antics' continues the tradition of the Civic Theatre bringing popular, but left-field entertainment to Rotherham. We're offering the audience something a bit different that will give them a guaranteed great night out that's excellent value for money.

"Eric is a great personality who has hundreds of amusing stories in his head ready to entertain the audience with. Plus, who knows, someone may even bring a priceless heirloom to be valued.

"But, whatever happens, it'll be an afternoon to remember at the Civic."

Eric Knowles will be at the Rotherham Civic Theatre on Sunday January 29. Valuations begin at 1.00pm, Show starts 2.30pm
